CDCP Renewal 2025: What Patients Need to Know
If you enrolled in the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) in 2024, it’s time to renew for 2025. The Government of Canada is reviewing eligibility to ensure continued access to benefits, and timely renewal is essential to avoid a break in coverage.
✅ Step 1: File Your 2024 Taxes
First, complete your 2024 tax return and receive your Notice of Assessment from the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA). This step is key, as it determines your eligibility and co-payment rate.
📅 Deadline: Renew by June 1, 2025
Make sure to renew your CDCP coverage before June 1, 2025, to keep your benefits active without any interruptions.
💌 After You Renew
Once your renewal is processed, you’ll receive a confirmation letter with your new coverage details. Your co-payment amount will be based on your 2024 adjusted family net income.
❗ Missed the Deadline or Ineligible?
If you don’t renew in time or no longer qualify, your benefits will end on June 30, 2025. If that happens, you’ll be notified directly.
What You’ll Need to Renew:
Make sure your personal information is accurate and up to date:
- Social Insurance Number (SIN)
- Client Number
- Mailing/Home Address
- Marital Status (if applicable)
- Contact Information (phone/email)
- Details of any other government dental coverage
